BREXITANNIA is a documentary in which the ordinary people and the experts of Britain share their perspectives about the 2016 EU referendum. This event is presented in partnership with Sheffield Doc/Fest and includes a post-film discussion and Q&A with director Timothy George Kelly and special guests.
In the wake of the most momentous event in modern British political history, director Timothy George Kelly travelled the length of the UK, speaking to people on both sides of the Brexit divide. What emerges is a powerful, insightful, often emotive portrait of a divided nation, still uncertain about what the future holds. Making a conscious effort to hear from people holding wildly opposing views, Kelly’s film subtly mines issues of class, environment, landscape, and opportunity, in a potent and timely snapshot of Brexit Britain.
