On a remote mountaintop, a group of teenage commandos perform training exercises by day and indulge in youthful hedonism by night, bound together by a shadowy force known only as ‘The Organization’. After an ambush drives them deep into the jungle, fracturing their intricate bond, their mission slowly begins to collapse.

Set in a beautiful but dangerous landscape, this awe-inspiring film is a breathtakingly epic vision that will leave you mesmerised and utterly gripped.

Awards and reviews

Winner, Best Film – London Film Festival; Winner, World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award – Sundance

“Monos is ridiculously impressive filmmaking, savage and surreal, immediate but timeless.” Ian Freer, Empire

“One of the year’s most extraordinary films. Its feverish visuals rupture any sense of surface realism, creating a disarming, almost surrealist universe where anarchy takes hold.” Maria M Delgado, Sight and Sound

MONOS is rated 15. Visit the BBFC website for full details (may include plot spoilers).
