TIME TO DIE is an elegiac and beautifully stylised drama from Poland about a spirited nonagenarian determined to live life on her own terms. Dorota Kedzierzawska’s film features mesmerising black and white cinematography and an outstanding performance by Danuta Szaflarska who died in February, aged 102.

Leeds International Film Festival

LIFF is a portal for audiences to discover the real world of film that exists beyond regular film exhibition. LIFF primarily supports outstanding new talent and established talent that has not received deserved exposure in the UK. LIFF considers narrative, documentary and animated films, in feature-length and short formats, and in multiple genres and from all countries.

Founded in 1987 Leeds International Film Festival is renowned as a dynamic event with a reputation for challenging and innovative programming. Last year LIFF presented a huge variety of exceptional films at over 300 screenings and events at 30 venues over 15 days.

Programme details

Vue is open all day, so why not come along early to grab a drink and a snack? Doors to the screening room usually open around ten minutes before the performance starts.

7:30pm: Programme starts

9:25pm: Programme ends

The programme run time includes an allowance for introductions, trailers and a short film. This may vary and in some cases the film will begin immediately after a short introduction. While we will endeavour to accommodate latecomers, this may not always be possible. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse entry, without a refund, to anyone arriving after the advertised programme start time.

Tickets terms and conditions

If any tickets remain unsold they can be purchased on the door on the night of the screening, but we strongly advise buying in advance. Advance tickets must be purchased; we cannot reserve tickets.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. We reserve the right to refuse admission, without refund, to anyone arriving after the advertised start time.

If you purchase a membership or student ticket your membership card/student ID MUST be presented along with your ticket on the door when you come to a film. If you do not have your membership card/student ID we reserve the right to charge an additional £1 for your ticket.
